Leek Textile Week, running from 23-29 September, celebrates the town’s rich textile heritage with a range of community-focused events, workshops, and exhibitions.
The week draws on the legacy of local figures like William Morris and Thomas Wardle, who collaborated with Indian artisans in the 19th century. Activities will include natural dyeing, spinning, weaving, and creating a textile map of Leek.
The event will also feature talks and digital events, linking Leek’s historical ties with global artisans. It coincides with Sustainable Fashion Week, making Leek a regional hub.
