MP’s speech celebrates city’s creative industries

In his speech to Parliament on Tuesday 8th October 2024, Gareth Snell, MP for Stoke-on-Trent Central, celebrated the city’s rich heritage in creative industries, emphasising its role as a leader in ceramics and public arts.

The House of Parliament at Westminster, London.

He highlighted various local creative organisations, such as Appetite, Carse & Waterman, and the New Vic Theatre. Gareth stressed the need for governmental support, including recognition of Stoke as a cultural hub, and advocated for arts education and creative industry growth as part of national industrial strategy.
