Keele University is inviting local artists to exhibit their work at Chapters Café, Union Square, on the university campus.
The organisers seek 2D visual art that explores themes such as home, sense of place, origins, festivals, learning journeys, adventure, and change.
Artists are required to provide biographical information, a brief overview of their work, and captions for each piece.
The gallery space comprises three walls, accommodating both small-scale and large-scale artworks. There is also an opportunity to conduct a paid public workshop during the exhibition, and artists may host a launch event.
Expressions of interest should be submitted by 25 November 2024. Installation is scheduled for 9 December 2024, with the exhibition running from 10 December 2024 to 28 January 2025.
While this is an unpaid solo exhibition opportunity, group shows representing artist studios or collectives will be considered.
Interested artists should contact arts@keele.ac.uk with a brief statement or audio recording explaining why their work is suitable for this exhibition.
