Stoke Creates Get Started in Digital is a bespoke package of workshops designed to provide creative sector practitioners and freelancers with a foundational understanding of digital literacy across several key areas.
Ready to embrace a new digital skill or brush up on existing knowledge of digital opportunities?
Aimed at those new to these topics, or looking to solidify their understanding, Stoke Creates Get Started in Digital will offer a straightforward approach to acquiring essential digital skills in today’s sometimes mind-boggling technology-centred world.
The bespoke ‘digital surgeries’ will be delivered by Ben Mcmanus, Director of Wavemaker, either 1:1 with participants or in small groups. With over 9 years experience in delivering ‘people focussed’ digital inclusion, Wavemaker are the region’s digital engagement specialists.
Ben said: “This range of digital surgeries covers a wide range of topics, including CyberSmart – with a focus on online safety, teaching practitioners how to navigate and protect themselves against online threats. Also practical applications of online tools to enhance productivity using Google Apps, and we’ll introduce creative avenues through tools like Adobe Express and Canva. We will cover sessions on the ever changing world of AI, its impact, and platforms that exist, as well as practical uses for AI tools. Also a session in website creation using online builders and much more.”
We’re now inviting Exchange Forum members and other local creative practitioners to express your interest in taking up this FREE offer of essential digital training. Stoke Creates will then arrange dates for small workshops, or set up an introduction with Ben for a 1:1 session, as appropriate.
