B Arts, Stoke, is set to showcase a fresh round of creative talent with its latest Scratch Night on Friday, 22nd November at 7 pm. The event, hosted at the B Arts venue on Hartshill Road in Stoke, will feature a lively mix of theatre, stand-up comedy, spoken word, poetry, and more, performed by the volunteer-led ArtsHill Performers and other local talents.
This Scratch Night promises something special with the addition of three micro-commissioned works, each receiving £250.
“We’re thrilled to host our second Scratch Night of the year with even more performers than in February,” said Kath Stanway, B Arts Creative Producer. “This time, we’ve awarded three micro commissions to a dance practitioner, a spoken word artist, and a theatre group, all bringing something unique to the event.”
Evangeline Grace Cooper, an ArtsHill Performer and co-host, expressed her enthusiasm, sharing, “I’m thrilled to be back for the second time co-hosting the ArtsHill Performer’s Scratch Night with our very own Jess. It’s a platform to perform work that has never been seen before.”
With a ‘Pay as You Feel’ entry and a selection of snacks and drinks available from the Bread in Common Café, B Arts Scratch Night offers an accessible evening of culture for all.
The event, fully accessible to wheelchair users, invites the local community to come and experience this vibrant showcase of emerging talent.
